The Greatest Distraction for Women

The single fastest way to keep women from coming into their true power is to have them focus, obsess, or continually concern themselves with how they look. Am I thin, pretty, young enough, does my hair look good today, how many hours can I spend looking for the perfect bikini, what latest anti-ageing procedure/cream/health fad can I use to look better/halt the ageing process. It’s the single biggest distraction in modern times for women: the amount of mental power & time spent engaged in these activities/fears/shopping for/looking for ways to look (and so feel better) about themselves, is one of the greatest wastes for women and for the evolution of the whole, of all time.

A woman overly focussed on these concerns will be missing her greatest gift to the world and herself - the offering of her innate value, her infinite creative, mental and adaptive power, her strength, compassion and ultimate purpose in life. What greater waste could there be. A woman can birth another being into the world, using only her own body, the matrix point of manifestation and creation is the woman. There’s potentially no greater, stronger, more powerful or devotional act, than this - any man who’s witnessed a woman give birth will attest to this - the consistent response is total respect and awe. This potentiality lays latent in any woman, whether she chooses to, or circumstances conspire for her to experience it, or not.

My call to women is this: when you notice your intellect buying into this conditioning of body obsession and all it’s thinly veiled counterparts (“healthy diets” - primarily to maintain/lose weight for example), use it as a consciousness trigger to go within and feel the innate value of your being, ask yourself - what value can I add today? To the world, to myself, to others. Come into your senses and the present. Step beyond, transcend, the smallest part of who you are (your mere appearance) into the full depths and power of your being. Your stability, power and creativity lies there. I f you stay only on the surface you’ll never know the truth of your being, your purpose, your innate capability.

Regularly stepping beyond and transcending the surface layer of your experience with a consistent, powerful meditation practice will help to establish your awareness in your deeper Self and you’ll find yourself less engaged with, less concerned by, and ultimately the less of your most powerful asset - your  attention  - will be wasted on these pursuits. Freeing you to engage your full power and capability in the world, people and demands around you. The world needs this. You need this. The next generation of women and men need to see this, embodied.

To all men: celebrate the innate power of the women around you - your mothers, wives, daughters, friends, colleagues, girls on the street and in bars. Appreciate the feminine form, but look beyond it. Let appearance sit firmly where it should in the hierarchy of importance. You are the structure, the container, which holds the flow of the feminine, the way in which you hold space for them plays a significant role in how they see themselves and where they direct their energy. Let’s all rise up on this. Let the feminine flow in all her aspects, flavours, capabilities, forms, shapes, sizes and ages. She is power, beauty, flow and capability simply as a woman, regardless of the vessel in which she comes.

With love
